This is the largest event in further education, bringing together the biggest names from further education, business, government and beyond. Attracting over 1200 delegates to Birmingham, we were also able to support with providing accommodation solutions for the attendees, staff, exhibitors and keynote speakers.
We needed to find a range of venues to suit varied groups of attendees, all within easy access of Birmingham city centre and totalling nearly 2000 room nights.
Taking into account budgets, lengths of stay, accessibility requirements and locations, our team proposed a full range of venues working with both the venues and client to reach mutually agreeable release dates. All of this was managed without the client having to financially commit to a contract.
As attendees to the conference were going to be arranging their place at the conference through a website it was essential that they could book this package and their accommodation in one simple transaction, we worked with our client to build a detailed delegate registration site which offered a bespoke booking process.
This also meant we could strategically manage all allocations, ensuring effective management of blocks of accommodation, supporting cost avoidance on unallocated bedrooms and clear reporting for the client to track pick up of rooms.
